About Sun City Center Golf Cart Repair
Sun City Center Golf Cart Repair is an independent, locally operated mobile repair service: independent golf cart technicians who come to your driveway, garage, or cart garage anywhere in Sun City Center, Kings Point, and the surrounding South Shore communities, and fix the cart where it sits. No trailering, no shop drop-off, no waiting a week for a service department to get to it.
Why mobile, and why here
This community was built around the golf cart. Del Webb laid Sun City Center out in the early 1960s so that daily life (groceries, banking, medical appointments, clubs, golf) works from a cart seat, and it still does: every street inside the community is approved for cart use during daylight hours, with cart paths along SR 674 and designated crossings connecting both sides of the boulevard. Many households here have no second car at all.
That’s the problem with shop-based repair in this market. If the cart is your transportation and it won’t move, you can’t exactly drive it in for service. Mobile repair fits the way Sun City Center actually lives: we come to you, the $50–$100 service call includes the on-site diagnostic, and the fee is applied toward the repair when you approve the work. Battery sets, solenoids, brake shoes, and tires are usually on the truck, so most jobs finish in one visit.
What we work on
All major brands (Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, and Evolution) electric and gas. The daily bread is battery packs, brakes and tires, chargers and charge ports, solenoids and controllers, and annual tune-ups for carts that run errands every day of the year.
What we are not
We are not an authorized dealer, service center, or warranty station for any cart manufacturer, and we won’t imply otherwise. If your cart is under factory warranty, your selling dealer is the right place for warranty work. Everything out of warranty, which is most of the carts in this community, is exactly what an independent mobile service is for.
We also won’t sell you parts you don’t need. A cart that won’t charge gets the charger and receptacle tested before anyone mentions a $1,200 battery pack, because a failing charger imitates a dying pack almost perfectly. Each battery gets an individual load test before we condemn a set, sometimes one bad 6-volt is dragging down five good ones. And when a repair genuinely doesn’t pencil out against the value of an old cart, we say that too. On a fixed income, an honest “don’t spend the money” is worth more than any coupon.
Published prices
Every range we charge is on the pricing page: lead-acid packs $1,200–$1,800 installed, lithium conversions $1,600–$3,500, brakes $75–$400, tires $75–$150 each, solenoids $100–$250, tune-ups from $100. Exact numbers depend on cart model and pack voltage, so quotes are free by phone or photo, but you’ll never have to book blind to find out what something costs.
Where we go
All of Sun City Center and Kings Point (gated visits scheduled so access is easy), plus Ruskin, Apollo Beach, Wimauma, including Valencia Lakes and Southshore Bay, and Riverview. If you’re on the South Shore and the cart won’t move, send the brand, the symptom, and a photo, and we’ll come back fast with a flat quote and a window.
